Seth Beer homered for the fourth straight game as Clemson (22-6, 8-4) coasted to an 8-3 win over Boston College (9-16, 4-8) at Doug Kingsmore Stadium Saturday to wrap up a sweep of their ACC series.
Beer's 10th home run of the season capped Clemson's three-run fifth inning to wipe out a 3-2 deficit.
Jordan Greene and Logan Davidson had two hits apiece and five Clemson pitchers combined to limit BC to five hits.
Elsewhere:
* South Carolina (17-11, 4-5) rode a patchwork lineup to a 6-3 victory over Tennessee (17-12, 4-5) and its first SEC series sweep since dispatching the Vols in Knoxville last season. With four starters out with injuries, USC moved third baseman Jonah Bride to second base and catcher/first baseman Chris Cullen to third base. Carlos Cortes continued his recent hitting success with two hits and Matt Williams had a two-run double in the decisive three-run eighth. USC's bullpen combined for 5 1/3 shutout innings.
* Wofford (20-9, 4-2) completed a Southern Conference sweep of Western Carolina (3-23, 1-5) with a 3-2 victory. Brett Rodriguez had two hits and a stolen base and Anthony Garcia recorded a four-inning save for the Terriers, who have won five straight.
* Evan Nations went seven innings and Charleston Southern (10-19, 3-6) got its first weekend series victory of the season with a 6-0 Big South Conference win over Longwood (7-18, 2-7). Three relievers combined to go the final two innings. Mike Sconzo had three hits, extending his hitting streak to six games.
* Winthrop (13-16, 7-2) avoided a Big South Conference series sweep at High Point (14-13, 6-3) with an 11-2 victory. The Eagles, held to five hits in losing the first two games, got 11 hits on Saturday, with Alex Raines' three hits leading the way.
* Kenny Thomas got his 1,200th victory as a college baseball coach when USC Aiken (21-12, 12-6) beat UNC Pembroke (22-, 8-9), 12-2, to salvage the finale of a three-game Peach Belt Conference series. More than half of his wins have come during his tenure at USCA. Brian Parreira homered twice and drove in five runs and Jose Bonilla had four hits for the Pacers.
* Newberry (19-15, 11-7) won its fourth SAC series in the last five attempts by sweeping Tusculum (18-18, 10-8). The Wolves scored a run in the ninth and two in the 10th to win then opener, 9-8. Ben Herring was four-for-four with a homer and three RBIs. Newberry took Game 2, 3-1, behind a complete game from Ryan Harbin.
* Lander (12-19, 6-11) hammered Augusta (10-24, 7-17) in both ends of a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at Dolny Stadium to win the series, 2-1. Colton Yeager had five of the Bearcats' 20 hits in a 19-12 win in the opener. He added three more hits in the nightcap, an 8-3 Lander win.
* Benedict (13-9, 6-3) broke out the lumber in a 12-1, 17-1 doubleheader sweep at Morehouse (10-20, 1-7) to wrap up an SIAC series sweep. The Tigers had 16 hits and stole five bases in the opener. Armando Valentin had four hits and Christopher Harper and Joseph Macaluso homered. In the nightcap, Andrew McCoy had four of Benedict's 18 hits.
* John Garrett had three hits and Julio Justo homered and drove in three runs as Southern Wesleyan (14-22, 3-12) won a Conference Carolinas series victory over Barton (10-27, 2-13) with an 11-2 victory in Central.
* Claflin (9-21, 5-2) split an SIAC series with Paine (11-12, 6-2), losing the opener, 5-4, and winning Game 2. The Panthers are a half-game back of Paine in the East Division standings. The series concludes Monday in Orangeburg.
* Florence-Darlington Tech (29-10, 10-2) completed a weekend sweep of Spartanburg Methodist (17-19, 6-8) with NJCAA Region 10 victories of 14-5 and 4-3. Evan Odum pitched a complete game in the opener and the Stingers got a single in the bottom of the ninth to win Game 2.
* USC Sumter (26-12, 12-4) salvaged a split of its Region 10 series with Louisburg (21-14, 6-6) by by sweeping Saturday's doubleheader, 2-1 and 8-5. The Fire Ants were outhit in the opener, 4-3, Tyler Mangum doubled and drove in a run for Sumter. In Game 2, both Eric McGirt and Leniel Gonzalez singled and homered.
* USC Lancaster (16-14, 3-9) also split its series with USC Union (7-19, 2-12) by winning Saturday's games, 11-5 and 17-1.

Furman (13-15, 0-3) lost its eighth straight game, 10-0 to Samford in SoCon play. ... College of Charleston (20-8, 3-2) lost a CAA game to Elon for the second straight day, 7-5. ... Coastal Carolina (21-9, 8-1) suffered its first Sun Belt Conference loss of the season as Geogia Southern rode a five-run fifth inning to a 5-4 victory.
