Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, April 9-15: Florence-Darlington Tech

Florence-Darlington Tech (4-0 for the week)
(went 4-0 vs. Louisburg)

Florence-Darlington Tech moved closer to the NJCAA Region 10 regular-season championship with a series sweep of Louisburg.

It wasn't easy for the Stingers, with the two Saturday victories by two-run margins and the two Sunday win by one-run scores. FD Tech trailed in three of the games before winning.

The four wins allowed coach Preson McDonald's Stingers (15-3 in region) to take a two-game lead over USC Sumter (14-6), which was idle this weekend.

Next weekend completes the region schedule.  FD Tech is at third-place USC Salkehatchie for four games and USC Sumter is at Spartanburg Methodist.
