Kyle Wilkie doubled in the go-ahead run for Clemson (28-11, 13-7) in eighth inning at Wake Forest (18-22, 10-10) as the Tigers clinched an ACC series win with a 4-3 victory Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Wake Forest scored two runs in the third inning and another in the fourth. That lead stood until the Tigers scored three times in the sixth.
Seth Beer doubled in the seventh and scored on Wilkie's safety to break the tie.
Clemson starter Brooks Crawford allowed five hits over seven innings. Carson Spiers and Ryley Gilliam each pitched a hitless inning in relief.
Beer and Kier Meredith had two hits apiece for the Tigers.
Elsewhere:
* South Carolina (22-17, 8-9) jumped on LSU (24-16, 9-8) early and cruised to an 11-4 victory to clinch an SEC series win. The Gamecocks scored three runs in the first inning and three more in the second.
Gamecocks starter Adam Hill allowed four hits, walked four and struck out seven in six shutout innings. LSU being shut out for the second straight day with a four-run eighth off the Gamecocks' bullpen.
USC had seven doubles among its 13 hits. Madison Stokes and L.T. Tolbert both doubled twice. Stokes also singled and drove in three runs.
* Florence-Darlington Tech (38-11, 17-3) clinched the regular-season championship and top seed for the NJCAA Region 10 Tournament with a doubleheader sweep of USC Salkehatchie (23-24, 11-11). The scores were 8-4 and 5-2. Jackson Williams homered twice and singled in the first game for the Stingers. Cross Holfert also had three hits. Cody Adams had three hits and Asher Smith drove in two runs for the Indians. In the second game, Grayson Cottingham's three-run double in a four-run sixth helped the Stingers wipe out a 2-1 deficit. FD Tech starter Mark Leonard allowed two singles in six innings.
* Canaan Silver pitched a no-hitter in a 2-0 victory in the opener and Damien Eubanks had three hits and drove in eight runs in a 15-5 win in Game 2 as Spartanburg Methodist (24-24, 9-9) swept a Region 10 home doubleheader from USC Sumter (30-18, 14-8).
* Tucker Burgess pitched five innings to get his 13th win for North Greenville (39-6, 21-3) in the Crusaders' 11-3 win at Barton (12-36, 4-19) to cap the Crusaders' Carolinas Conference schedule with a series sweep. Connor Grant singled, tripled and drove in three runs while four teammates also collected two hits. North Greenville will be top seed for the Conference Carolinas Tournament in Burlington, N.C., this week.
* Kyle Skeels had two hits and drove in a run as Coastal Carolina (27-14, 13-4) evened its Sun Belt Conference series with Georgia State (18-19, 6-10) with a 7-3 victory. Matt Eardensohn pitched four innings of shutout relief to get the save.
* Ryan Stoudemire's three-run homer in the sixth inning gave Charleston Southern (13-28, 4-13) all the scoring it needed in 3-1 win at Radford (16-22, 7-10) to even that Big South Conference series. Winning pitcher Tyler Weekley allowed five hits, an unearned run and struck out six in seven innings.
* Winthrop (19-22, 11-6) got eight shutout innings from Zach Peek and went on to a 3-0 win over UNC Asheville (10-28, 5-12) to clinch a Big South Conference series victory. Dillon Morton had two singled and a double to pace the Eagles.
* USC Aiken (18-16, 19-7) hammered Lander (14-30, 7-19) in Peach Belt Conference play, 10-2, to clinch a series win. Christian Aragon struck out 10 batters in six innings. He allowed three hits and two unearned runs. Daulton Weeks had a single, a walk and three doubles for the Pacers. Conner Durden matched Weeks with 3 RBIs.
* Francis Marion (18-27, 9-20) stayed in contention for a Peach Belt Conference Tournament berth with a doubleheader sweep of Georgia Southwestern (8-32, 4-22) by scores if 11-8 and 13-3. C.J. Mackinson had four hits in the first game and Steven Cox matched him in the second.
* Newberry (25-22, 13-14) and Anderson (22-26, 12-15) split a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader in Anderson. The Wolves won the opener, 13-7, off the momentum of a six-run first inning. Sam Jones had four hits and drove in three runs for Newberry, which totaled 18 hits. Anderson won the second game, 8-7, on Dillon Carpenter's walk-off single in the eighth and clinched a spot in the conference tournament.
* Griffin Baker of Belmont Abbey (36-10, 18-5) no-hit Erskine (25-23, 11-23) in the opener of their Conference Carolinas doubleheader, 6-0, before the Flying Fleet avoided a series sweep in the night cap, 10-3. Five Erskine players had two hits apiece.
* An eight-run fourth inning sparked Coker (18-25, 7-20) to a 10-3 win at Lenoir-Rhyne (27-21, 13-14) in the opener of a SAC doubleheader before the Bears responded with a 17-3 win in the finale. Bryson Conner, Brooks Estrada and Thomas Lopez each had two hits in the first game and one in the second for the Cobras. Conner now has 208 career hits, second-most in school history.
* USC Lancaster (20-19, 6-12) split a pair with Louisburg (26-20, 9-11). The Lancers won the opener, 8-3, but lost Game 2, 15-5. Johnny Watts had two hits and two RBIs in each game for USCL.
* Bradon Elmy hit a pair of two-run homers for Furman (18-21, 3-8), but VMI (21-17, 9-5) rode an eight-run fifth inning to a 13-7 victory to clinch a SoCon series victory in Lexington, Va.
* Hofstra (16-15, 6-8) knocked off College of Charleston (27-13, 9-5) for the second straight day, 2-1, to clinch a Colonial Athletic Association series victory. K.J. Bryant had two of the Cougars' six hits.
* Limestone (20-27, 10-14 suffered a 5-3, 11-10 sweep at the hands for Mount Olive (19-5, 33-12-1), but Chase Allen tied the school's single-season home run record with No. 23 in Game 2. He also has the career homer mark.
