Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, May 14-20: Clemson

Clemson (4-0 for the week )
(went 1-0 at Kennesaw State; went 3-0 at Pittsburgh)

Clemson (43-13) wrapped up the ACC Atlantic Division championship and a share of the overall ACC title with its weekend sweep at Pittsburgh.

It's the first time the Tigers have won 40 game or more in the regular season since 2006.  Consider that the Tigers returned ZERO 2017 starts on its pitching staff and it's quite a compliment to coach Monte Lee, his staff and his players.

The Tigers, still jockeying for consideration as a Top 8 national seed for the NCAA Tournament,  open ACC Tournament play against Notre Dame at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Durham, N.C.

Also considered (record for week)
Charleston Southern (2-1)
Coastal Carolina (2-1)
South Carolina (2-1) - won its fifth straight SEC series
The Citadel (2-1) - won series at Mercer
Wofford (2-1)
