(beat Emmanuel, Erskine, and Mount Olive twice in Conference Carolinas Tournament)
North Greenville entered the Conference Carolinas Tournament on a role, and the Crusaders continued that solid play through four games to win the championship by beating Mount Olive Sunday, 10-7.
It was the closest game of the tournament for coach Landon Powell's Crusaders (40-9) and extended their latest winning streak to nine games. North Greenville has won 17 of its last 19 games, 29 of its last 32 and 32 of its last 36 to make a strong case for being the top seed for the Southeast Regional when the NCAA Division II playoffs begin next month.
The Crusaders have a pair of games against both Georgia College and Wingate to try to maintain their edge as they await the playoffs.
