Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, May 6-12: College of Charleston

College of Charleston (4-0 for the week)
(beat Charleston Southern, went 3-0 vs. Towson)

College of Charleston entered the weekend having lost five of its last six games to see its hold on second place in the Colonial Athletic Association trimmed to one game.

Coach Chad Holbrook's Cougars responded with a three-game sweep of Towson - the last two in come-from-behind fashion - to strengthen their prospects of getting a first-round bye in the CAA Tournament later this month. Charleston has a three-game lead over four teams with one weekend of conference play left.

The Cougars finish their CAA schedule at Delaware.
