Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, Jan. 31-Feb. 2: USC Aiken

USC Aiken (3-0 for the week)
(went 3-0 vs. Lincoln Memorial)

Having a weather-induced one-day delay to the start of the season certainly didn't seem to throw the USC Aiken offense off-kilter.

Coach Kenny Thomas' squad hit .396 in its sweep of Lincoln Memorial and scored 35 runs in the Sunday doubleheader to cap the sweep.

The Pacers also had a .511 on-base percentage with 42 hit, 23 walks and one hit batsman.

USCA is idle until next Friday, when it begins a three-game home series with Shepherd.

Also considered (record for week)
Anderson (2-1) - New coach P.J. Zocchi won first two games
Claflin (2-1)
Coker (2-1)
Francis Marion (2-1
Newberry (2-0)
Southern Wesleyan (2-1)
USC Beaufort (1-0)
