Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, Feb. 10-16: The Citadel

The Citadel ( 3-0 for the week)
(went 3-0 vs. Coppin State)

Seven state teams went unbeaten this week, and none of the seven opponents seemed more daunting than the others.

So, I decided to go with The Citadel after its weekend sweep of Coppin State. Three wins represent one-quarter of the Bulldogs' 2019 season total of 12.

The Bulldogs got solid starts on Friday and Saturday, then clubbed 10 extra-base hits on Sunday, which was coach Tony Skole's 600th career coaching win.

It was the first three-game sweep on opening weekend for the Bulldogs since 2015, when they went 3-0 agaiinst Air Force.

Next up is a Tuesday visit the Clemson, which also began 3-0.
