Palmetto State Baseball team of the week April 22-28: North Greenville

North Greenville (4-0)
(beat Georgia College; went 3-0 at Erskine)

The Crusaders have been so consistently good this season that I was surprised when I noticed they hadn't team of the week honors yet this season.

Better late that never.

Coach Landon Powell's squad officially wrapped up the top seed for the Conference Carolinas Tournament with a series sweep at Erskine.  Powell has assembled a deep, talented roster and he's willing to use it. Thirteen players have 60 or more at-bats and 10 pitchers have pitched in 10 or more games.

The result is a 40-10 record and the favorite's role for the conference tournament this week in Gastonia, N.C.

Up next: Either Erskine or Francis Marion on Conference Carolinas Tournament, Thursday.
