* Bob Jones 7, Fort Lauderdale 6 - Kamden Lance's two-run single in the seventh inning put the Bruins ahead and they held on to knock off top seeded Fort Lauderdale (38-13) in the tournament opener. The Bruins (12-24) won their school-record fourth straight game and are scheduled to play again Tuesday at a time to be determined

* Florence-Darlington Tech 11, Gaston College 4 - Mac James had a two-run double as the sixth-ranked Stingers took control with four runs in the first inning and advanced to Tuesday's championship round.

* USC Sumter 5, Gaston College 3 - B.J. Williams had a two-run single in a five-run sixth inning as the Fire Ants advanced to the championship round and eliminated the nationally top-ranked Rhinos. USC Sumter must beat FD Tech twice.
