Briefly: No. 17 Walters State scored an unearned run in the first inning and was never headed in beating USC Salkehatchie, 17-1 in eight innings in Allendale. The Senators scored 10 runs in their final three innings to invoke the run rule. The Indians were shut out until scoring an unearned run in the eighth. The teams play a doubleheader at noon Sunday on the Salkehatchie campus
