Texas College ends historic streak

Texas College has ended the longest losing streak in college baseball history. The Steers,who compete in NAIA, beat University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, 6-5, in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday to end a 99-game losing streak going back to March 10, 2020 - during the first Trump presidential administration.

Baseball statistical wiz Barry Allen said it's the longest losing streak ever on any level of college play. The win was secured when the Steers threw out the potential tying run at home to end the game.

Patriots' start shifted

Francis Marion's Tuesday game at Augusta has been moved up from 4 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Claflin-Erskine game shifted

Tuesday's scheduled Claflin-Erskine game in Due West has been postponed. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Mirmow Field in Orangeburg at 1 p.m. March 11.
