Bakich will sit out first two games
Former co-worker David Hood of Tigernet and other Clemson media report Tigers coach Erik Bakich will not be in the dugout of the first two games of the season as he serves a suspension as punishment for being ejected in the final game of 2024.
Assistant coach Nick Schnabel will direct the team in Friday's game against Oklahoma State and Saturday's contest with Arizona in the Shriners Children's College Showdown in Arlington, Texas. Bakich is not allowed to be in the venue, so he will be in his hotel room for the games - and on the radio for the Clemson broadcast.
Bakich was ejected for his actions in a Super Regional loss to Florida at Doug Kingsmore Stadium last June.
