Briefly: Clemson scored seven runs in the first and eight in the ninth to overwhelm Arizona, giving the Tigers their second straight win over a ranked team to open the season. Dominic Listi and Collin Priest had three hits apiece for Clemson, which finished with 17 ... Matthew Becker allowed a hit and struck out nine in five innings as South Carolina got a run-rule shutout win over Sacred Heart ... Dean Mihos had three hits and reached base five times as Coastal Carolina rallied past Kansas State in the Baseball at the Beach Tournament ... Coker stole 13 bases in Game 1 Jaylen Mack homered and drove in three runs in the nightcap of the sweep of Ohio Dominican ... Patrick Evans had two hits in each game as Florence-Darlington Tech swept Monroe CC ... Bryson Nuckols was 3-for-4 with two stolen base, three runs scored and two RBI as Newberry took the rubber game of the SAC series with Tusculum ... Avery Neaves had four hits and scored six runs as College of Charleston split a pair with VCU. Jacob Lee's three-run homer in the eighth gave the Rams the lead in the nightcap ... Charleston Southern withstood a four-run ninth by UIC to win a slugfest ... Lander scored eight runs in the eighth, then survived a Mars Hill threat in the ninth to complete a series sweep ... USC Aiken smacked 19 hits and snapped a four-game losing streak in Game 1, but the Griffins came back to claim the nightcap ... USC Sumter held off Brunswick CC in Game 1,but the Dolphins took Game 2 ... Georgetown held Presbyterian scoreless after the first inning to salvage the series finale ... Miami (Ohio) scored four runs in the ninth to overtake The Citadel in Game 1 and brought Game 2 to an early conclusion with a seven-run eighth ... A throwing error on a stolen base attempt allowed Shorter to grab a walk-off win over North Greenville in the completion of a game halted by darkness on Friday. The Trailblazers bounced back to take the finale behind three home runs ... Emmanuel scored 14 runs runs in the first three innings and salvaged the finale game of the Conference Carolinas series with Erskine. The game was moved from Due West to Franklin Springs over weather concerns ... Florida Southern scored 10 runs in the final two innings to overtake USC Beaufort ... Miles took the lead late in Game 1 en route to a doubleheader sweep to spoil Benedict's season opener. Isaiah Canty tripled and homered to drive in four runs on the day ... Fisher pitchers struck out 23 in 14 innings and allowed five singles in beating Morris twice in the first of two doubleheaders to be played in Marion, N.C., this weekend. Jalen McGriff singled in both games for the Hornets.
