Briefly: Benedict (5-2) extended its winning streak to five games with a doubleheader sweep of Claflin (4-5-1). The Tigers have scored 94 runs during the streak ... Wofford (8-1) had 12 hits, drew six walks and stole five bases to beat Davidson and push its winning streak to five games ... USC Upstate (4-3) put up crooked numbers in the first five innings and earn a season split with Western Carolina. Scott Newman had three of the Spartans' 17 hits ... USC Aiken (8-7) scored an unearned run in the eighth inning to turn back Francis Marion (11-5), which has lost three straight games ... Mason Elrod had five hits as USC Union (12-1) swept Montreat's developmental team ... Four Florence-Darlington Tech (13-6) pitchers combined for five-inning one-hitter in a run-rule win over Southeastern CC.

Beyond the border: Liberty, coached by former Clemson player and assistant coach Bradley LeCroy, knocked off No. 17 Duke, 12-4 ... Young Harris dumped Carson-Newman, 10-4, in a meeting of Southeast Region Division II powers.
