I'm branching out

Beginning this Friday (March 7) I will be appearing on SportsTalk with Phil Kornblut each Friday to talk about college baseball in South Carolina. The 15-minute or so segment is planned for 6:30 p.m. weekly.  I am hopeful it continues at least through the regular season. Listener response may help determine that - unless Phil gets tired of humoring me first. 

I don't consider myself to be an "expert" about college baseball; I just enjoy watching it, listening to it and writing about it.

There are broadcast affiliates with signals reaching much of the state, and there's also a live video stream on YouTube.

I've also begun doing some writing for Straight Up Sports, managed by Mark Sturgis. Many of my stories there will be what I already post at Palmetto State Baseball, but some may vary. Award-winning sportswriters Bob Gillespie and Scott Keepfer also contribute to the site.
