Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, March 17-23; USC Upstate

USC Upstate (4-0 for the week)
(beat Wofford, went 3-0 vs. Charleston Southern)

The Spartans entered the week on a four-game losing streak and 0-3 in the Big South Conference after being swept at home by Radford.

Fast forward a few days and coach Kane Sweeney's Spartans are back at .500 in the conference, with a win over city rival Wofford to boot.

Upstate has been doing it with offense, batting .355 and scoring 51 runs in the four wins. Upstate hit nine homers.

That's not to say the pitching didn't do its part., registering  a 2.00 staff ERA and 43 strikeouts in 36 innings.
