Series to feature Clemson

"No Finish Line," a six-part documentary series on this season's Clemson's baseball team, debut Monday night at 7:30 on WHNS (Channel 21-1) in the Greenville area. The series will continue on Mondays, with episodes being available for replay on Clemsonplus.com

Bruins add three games

Bob Jones has added a three-game series at Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, Miss., April 18-19. There will be a game at 7 p.m. Friday and a doubleheader at noon Saturday.

Greenville working on park restoration

The City of Greenville is working to restore Mayberry Park, a recreation area that once served as a hub for athletics and community gathering for African-Americans in the days of segregation.,

The facility was built in the 1920s and was home to semi-pro baseball with the Greenville Black Spinner, as well as other events.

The area is part of Unity Park along the Reedy River upstream from downtown.

Greenville Drive owner Craig Brown made a donation to help rebuild the park. Once completed, iot will include a concessions area and recognition of the facility's history. A ceremony is planned for Aug. 28.
