Peach Belt, Appalachian, Continental set tournament schedules


North Georgia and Lander tied for the regular-season championship and will be the two hosts for the opening weekend of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. North Georgia earned the top seed on the basis of a regular-season series win over the Bearcats.

Both schools will play host to four-team double-elimination tournaments beginning Friday. The two winners advance to a best-of-three championship series the following weekend.

Reinhardt is the top seed for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament beginning Tuesday at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.

Columbia International is the seventh seed and plays No. 6 Pikeville to open the tournament at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Spartanburg Methodist will play Florida National on Friday in the first round of the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Georgia Gwinnett is the host for the four-team, double-elimination event and will meet Fisher in the first game.
