Briefly:
 Caden Sorrell led off the 10th inning with a home run as Texas A&M (18-14, 4-9) took the opener an SEC series over South Carolina (20-15, 2-11). The Gamecocks fell behind 6-3 before forcing extra innings. Nathan Hall,  Ethan Petry and Beau Hollins homered for Carolina, which outhit the Aggies 11-6 but struck out 16 times and left the potential go-ahead run in scoring position in the eighth and ninth innings ... The Erskine JV team pulled away in the middle innings to beat USC Union (26-14).
