The Tigers (44-16) were tabbed the No. 11 national seed and will face Big South Conference champ USC Upstate (36-23), which is the No. 4 seed for the Clemson Regional, in a first-round game at Doug Kingsmore Stadium at 6 p.m. Friday. It is Upstate's first trip to the NCAAs. No. 2 West Virginia (41-14) and No. 3 Kentucky (29-24) meet in the other first-round game of the double-elimination tournament at noon Friday.
Coastal Carolina (48-11), is the 13th national seed and will play regional 4 seed Fairfield (39-17) at 6 p.m. Friday at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway on ESPN+. East Carolina (33-25) is the No. 2 seed and faces No. 3 Florida (38-20) in the other first-round game at noon Friday on ESPN2.

The two regional winners will meet in a best-of-three super regional the following weekend to determine a spot in the College World Series.
Vanderbilt is the No. 1 national seed, followed by Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, North Carolina, LSU, Georgia and Oregon State. The second eight are Florida State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Oregon, Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA and Southern Mississippi.
