* NCAA Division I: Clemson (38-13, 15-10) turned a game-ending double play with the bases loaded in the ninth to hold off Duke (33-16, 14-11) in the opener of an ACC series. The Blue Devils took an early two-run lead, but Cam Cannarella's three-run double highlighted a six-run Clemson fourth.  Duke pulled within a run before Andrew Ciufo's two-run homer capped a three-run eighth. The Blue Devils scored a pair of runs in the ninth before Lucas Mahlstedt induced a game-ending grounder to short ... Jacob Morrison and two relievers combined for a one-hit shutout and Walker Mitchell and Colby Thorndyke drove in two runs apiece as Coastal Carolina (40-11, 22-4) run-ruled Sun Belt rival ULM (21-29, 7-19). The Chanticleers have won 14 consecutive conference games and 10 straight overall ... Wofford (29-22, 6-10) took the lead with three unearned runs in the sixth inning and held on to take the opener of a series at SoCon leader East Tennessee State (35-13, 11-5) ...  Dylan Johnson homered and drove in the go-ahead win with a 10th-inning sacrifice fly as College of Charleston (29-19, 11-11) took the opener of a Coastal Athletic Association series at North Carolina A&T (15-32, 9-13) ... A squeeze bunt gave Auburn (36-15, 16-11) a walk-off win over South Carolina (26-26, 5-22) in Game 1 of a doubleheader and the Tigers scored the final 11 runs of Game 2 to complete a series sweep.  Beau Hollins, Henry Kaczmar and K.J. Scobey homered in Game 1 for the Gamecocks, who had a season-high 17 hits. Evan Stone went deep in Game 2, which was USC's sixth straight loss ... Preston Lucas singled, doubled twice and drove in four runs and  USC Upstate (28-22, 14-5) wiped out an early three-run deficit with a 12-run fifth inning to coast past Presbyterian (17-30, 9-13) in the first game of a Big South Conference series ... Charleston Southern (25-17, 11-8) scored three runs in the seventh inning and four in the eighth to overtake UNC Asheville (14-30, 7-12) in the opener of a Big South Conference doubleheader. The Buccaneers were up 16-4 in the sixth inning when Game 2 was suspended until Saturday because of weather ... Former USC Union standouts Brayden Corn and Trent Turner had two hits apiece as Western Carolina (25-24, 7-9) won the opener of a SoCon series with The Citadel (26-22, 9-7) ...Tyler Kehoe's RBI single gave Radford (25-23, 11-8) a walk-off win over Winthrop (27-23, 11-8) to take the opener of a Big South Conference series. The Eagles went up 3-0 early, fell behind 7-4, and tied the game in the eighth. After Highlander took the lead in the eighth, Ethan Wilson had a game-tying single in the ninth for Winthrop.

* Peach Belt Conference Championship: Lander (42-13) overcame an early deficit and completed a two-game sweep of Columbus State (30-23). Adam Love and and Connor Droze drove in three runs apiece and the Bearcats advanced to the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional next week. Droze hit the 50th home run of his career.
