* NCAA Division I: Cameron Flukey struck out nine Appalachian State (21-25, 11-12) batters in seven innings as Coastal Carolina (36-11, 19-4) extended its Sun Belt Conference winning streak to 11 games ... Johnny Sweeney hit two homers, drove in seven runs and scored five times as USC Upstate (25-22, 12-5) evened its Big South Conference series with Longwood (11-36, 5-15) ... Dylan Johnson homered and scored twice as College of Charleston (26-19, 9-11) evened its Coastal Athletic Association series at William & Mary (20-26, 13-7) ... Ryan Wynn's RBI single capped a two-run eighth as Wofford (27-21, 5-9) clinched a SoCon series win over Mercer (30-19, 9-8) ... High Point (31-14, 12-4) took the lead with a four-run fifth and beat Presbyterian (17-25, 9-10) in what was supposed to be a Big South doubleheader. Game 2 was rained out and will be made up as part of a noon Sunday twinbill ... Clemson had a 4-3 lead over Florida State when the game was suspended in the eighth inning because of weather. It will resume at 1 p.m. Sunday, followed by the scheduled game ... Florida had a 1-0 lead over South Carolina in the bottom of the third when the game was suspended because of weather. It will be resumed at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a seven-inning game to conclude the series ... The Citadel's game at UNC Greensboro was postponed and will be made up as part of a 2 p.m. Sunday doubleheader.

* Conference Carolinas Tournament: Gavin Gilmore's two-run single in the ninth inning gave Barton (31-21) the lead and the Bulldogs threw out a North Greenville (43-13) runner at third base to end the game and eliminate the Trailblazers ... Belmont Abbey (36-15) scored the game's first seven runs and added eight in the ninth to eliminate top seed Francis Marion (40-13).

* Continental Athletic Conference: Georgia Gwinnett scored five runs in the first inning and went on to run-rule Spartanburg Methodist (20-28). 

* Peach Belt Conference: Taichi Nakao singled, doubled, walked and drove in four runs as Lander (39-13) moved into the site finals by run-ruling  Georgia College (29-23). The Bearcats have won 11 straight games ... Flagler rallied from eight runs down to force extra innings, but USC Aiken (23-28) scored a run in the 10th to advance to another elimination game. That game was suspended until Sunday with Georgia College leading, 3-1, in the fourth inning.

* South Atlantic Conference: Top seed Catawba scored four runs in the top of the ninth to send Limestone (26-25) into a losers bracket game to be played on Sunday. The Coker-Newberry game also was postponed.

* Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Regular-season champion Spring Hill took the lead with a six-run sixth inning and eliminated Benedict (24-18). Jose Gil had a single and two RBI for the Tigers.

* Region 10: Three Florence-Darlington Tech (47-9) pitchers combined to shut out USC Sumter (29-24) ... Dylan Baker homered and drove in three runs and USC Lancaster (24-25) held on to win the completion of Friday's game against USC Salkehatchie (4-47) ... The USC Lancaster-Gaston College game was scoreless in the fourth inning when it was suspended by weather. It will resume at 9 a.m. Sunday, with the remainder of the original Saturday schedule to follow.
