* Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament: Matthew Garris and Darius Hatchette-Dunn teamed for a four-hit shutout as Columbia International (30-21) eliminated Pikeville ... Milligan upended top-seeded Reinhardt, which will be CIU's opponent on Friday.

* Conference Carolinas Tournament: Alton Gyselman provided North Greenville (43-11) a walk-off win over UNC Pembroke. Gideon Antle led off the ninth with a single He took went on a wild pitch and went to third on Payton Howard's sacrifice bunt. Gyselman then delivered a single through the left side of the infield. The Trailblazers play Emanuel on Friday ... Emmanuel (28-24) overcame an early four-run deficit with the next 15 runs to knock off top-seeded Francis Marion (39-12) in the opening game. The Lions scored 10 runs - seven earned - against conference pitcher of the year Rijnaldo Euson, who was starting on one day's less rest than normal. Charlie Bussey III had two homers and drove in five runs for the Patriots, who play an elimination game on Friday against UC Pembroke.

* HBCUAC Tournament: Wilberforce scored three runs in the top of the eighth and center fielder Keith Smith Jr. made a momentum-changing ninth-inning catch as the Bulldogs held on to eliminate Voorhees (24-22).  One out after Jaiden Godette led off the Tigers' ninth with a double, Eric Green doubled him in. Keelen Sloan then hit a liner into the left-field gap, which Smith dove and caught for out two. After a wild pitch, Emory Guilford grounded out to end the game. 

* Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament: Savannah State took the lead with six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and held on to top Benedict (23-17) in the first game of the tournament. Benedict plays Tuskegee in an elimination game at 9 a.m. Friday.
