SEC Tournament
* Florida 11, South Carolina 3 -
The Gamecocks (28-29) eclipsed the previous school record for losses in a season when they were cashiered from the tournament in the first round.

The problems that plagued Carolina throughout the season - poor pitching and an inability to get hits in clutch situations - were evident again. USC loaded the bases with none out in the first inning, but could get just one run

Florida took the lead with three runs in the second inning and USC didn't score again until the eighth, by which time the Gators had scored seven straight.

Jordan Carrion, Nathan Hall, Beau Hollins, Henry Kaczmar and Blake Jackson had two hits apiece for USC.

It was USC's third losing season since 1971. A 25-28 record in June Raines' final season in 1996, a 27-28 result under Mark Kingston were the others. Those two seasons and a 28-28 mark under Kingston in 2019 shared the previous school record for losses in a season.

USC has not had back-to-back losing seasons since 1969-70.
