Briefly:  Freshman Ben Shepherd pitched a no-hitter in Game 2 as USC Aiken completed a sweep of Mars Hill in Keith Gorman's debut as Pacers head coach.  Yariel Diaz was 5-for-7 with a double, a homer, a walk, 2 stolen bases, 4 runs scored and 5 RBI for Aiken. ... North Greenville scored six runs in the first inning and coasted over Alabama Huntsville in the opener of the Houston Winter Invitational. Thomas Powell tripled, homered, walked, scored three times and drove in two for the Crusaders ... Matthew Manuel was 5-for-7 - including a double in each game - as Francis Marion swept Concord ... Ryan Hansen went 5-for-10 with a walk, 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases, 3 runs scored and 4 RBI in Lander's sweep of  Erskine in Nick Popp's first games as Bearcats coach ... Ryan Piekutoski was 4-for-9 with a double, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI as USC Sumter gave new head coach Will Thompson a pair of victories ... Jake Zehner singled, doubled, walked twice, drove in two runs and scored two as Florence-Darlington topped Gulf Coast, then BJ Balls and Vaughan McIntyre had two hits apiece against Wallace Dothan as the Stingers got their fourth win in two days ... Gavin Chandler pitched five shutout innings in Game 1 and Southern Wesleyan withstood a late Newberry rally, but the host Wolves used a three-run sixth to salvage the nightcap ... Braden Mauro doubled and hit a grand slam and Tommy Zimmerman singled, doubled and homered to twice in two runs as USC Lancaster won Game 2 of a doubleheader split at East Georgia ...
