* Briefly: CJ Dean's 13th-inning double scored Thomas Powell and allowed No. 5 North Greenville (5-0) to escape with a walk-off victory over Georgia Southwestern. Hurricanes pitchers struck out 17 and Trailblazers pitchers fanned 16 ... Maverick Grigsby's go-ahead, two-run single highlighted 4-0 USC Aiken's five-run seventh in a series opener against Emory & Henry ... Luke Compton was 3-for-5 with a home run as Newberry (2-2) won a series opener against Barton ... Garrett Long struck out 10 in five shutout innings and a nine-run first inning allowed Francis Marion (3-1) to coast to a series-opening win over West Liberty ... Coker starter Casey Cleghorn allowed two earned runs over nine innings, but Barry pushed across a run in the bottom of the 10th inning to win. Later, the Cobras (0-3) got the go-ahead run to the plate in the ninth before falling to Palm Beach Atlantic ...  A seventh-inning sacrifice fly gave Campbellsville - coached by Woodruff native Beaufort Sanders - a walk-off win over Columbia International. Later, the Rams fell to William Carey to drop to 0-11 ... Jakhari Howard had a two-run single and a two-run triple as Mount Olive handed Lander (3-1) its first loss ... Denmark Tech scored seven runs in the fifth inning to take the lead, but Trinity of Florida scored 10 in the sixth to win Game 1 of a doubleheader sweep. It was Denmark Tech's first action since 2004. Both schools compete in the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association ... Auburn Montgomery scored five runs in the first inning and five more in the fourth, then held off a Southern Wesleyan (1-2) comeback to take the opener of series ... Stephen Kriner had a two-run single and a walk, but Erskine (0-5) fell to Nova Southeastern ... Bob Jones scored five runs in the ninth inning and had the bases loaded, but fell to Trinity College of Jacksonville in the Bruins' season opener ... A four-run fifth game Wheeling the lead and it held on the beat USC Beaufort (1-1) ... NJCAA No. 15 Georgia Highlands reached double figures in both games of a run-rule sweep of USC Lancaster (1-3) ... Florida State College of Jacksonville took a five-run lead in the first inning and handled USC Sumter (2-1) in the opener of a series at Riley Park.
* Beyond the border: Central Methodist beat LSU Shreveport, 4-3, to snap the college-record 65-game winning streak.  LSUS went 59-0 last season to win the NAIA championship. Its last lost was in first-round play of the 2024 NAIA playoffs.
