* NCAA Division I: Aidan Knaak (1-3) got run support for the first time in more than a month and Clemson (20-11, 3-7 ACC) took the opener of a series at Stanford (13-14, 3-7). The Tigers had not scored a run with Knaak in a game since Feb. 20. He went five innings, striking out seven. Hayden Simmerson allowed a hit in four shutout innings to get the save. Tryston McCladdie drove in three ruins and Ty Dalley and Luke Gaffney added two apiece for the Tigers ... No. 2 Texas (25-5, 8-3 SEC) scored three runs in the first two innings and added insurance on back-to-back homers in the ninth to even its series with South Carolina (15-17, 2-9). Matthew Rollison had four hits and joined Amman Dewberry and Emory Guilford in homering for PC ... Henry Zenor's two-run single in a five-run fifth inning helped USC Upstate (16-16, 6-5 Big South) even its series at Radford (13-14, 3-5) ... Luke Earnhardt struck out nine and didn't allow a hit in 6 1/3 innings and Winthrop (22-9) broke a 3-3 tie on Alan Benhardt's two-run homer in the eighth inning to even its series with Western Carolina (19-13) ... South Alabama (19-12, 6-5 Sun Belt) handed No. 14 Coastal Carolina (22-8, 10-1) its first conference loss and snapped the Chanticleers' nine-game winning streak. Coastal had won 32 consecutive games against conference opposition ... High Point (21-9) extended its winning streak to 11 by shutting out College of Charleston (11-19) for the second straight game.

* Conference Carolinas: CJ Dean's eighth-inning home run was the decisive play as North Greenville (30-7, 18-4) took Game 1 of a conference showdown with first-place Young Harris (28-8, 19-3). Josh Folks and Landon Peavey also homered for the Trailblazers. The Mountain Lions left three runners on base in the eighth and two in the ninth ... Danny Villafane had a two-run double as Erskine (19-19, 13-9) pushed its winning streak to seven with a win at Shorter (11-21, 3-19) ... Robbie Jordan (8-0) allowed two earned runs and struck out six in eight innings as Francis Marion (29-7, 18-4) beat UNC Pembroke (24-10, 15-7). It was Jordan's 29th career win, tying him with Erin Jones (2002-4) for most in program history ... Luke Taylor had six hits and drove in nine runs and Southern Wesleyan (13-25, 7-16) had 43 hits in a sweep of Chowan (3-25, 3-20). The Hawks have lost 17 consecutive games.
* Peach Belt Conference: Luke Doty and Tyler Gundelfinger drove in two runs apiece in a seven-run fifth inning as USC Beaufort (9-25, 3-19) took a series opener at Claflin (3-25, 0-19), which has lost 23 straight games. The Panthers have given up 10 or more runs 22 times during the skein ... Lander (21-16, 14-9 scored six runs in the fourth inning on 2 hits, 3 walks, a hit batsman and 2 errors to even its series with USC Aiken (26-11, 14-6).
* South Atlantic Conference: Coker (9-26, 7-16) scored seven runs in the ninth inning to win Game 1, but was shut out until the final inning of the nightcap in a split with Emory & Henry (10-24, 6-17) ... Kaleb Owens pitched 8 2/3 innings as Anderson (18-17, 6-16) took the series opener over Catawba (26-7, 18-4) ... * NJCAA Region 10: Tristan Strickland had five hits and drove in nine runs as Florence-Darlington Tech (35-8, 15-5) swept USC Lancaster (20-18, 7-12) ... Markus Kirksey was 4-for-5 with 2 homers and 6 RBI as USC Union (24-16, 7-12) got a pair of run-rule wins over USC Salkehatchie (3-37, 1-18) ...
