South Carolina coach Chad Holbrook announced today via Twitter that Nolan Belcher, LB Dantzler and Patrick Sullivan have been named team captains for 2013.

College Baseball Hall of Fame gets $5 million gift
The College Baseball Hall of Fame in Lubbock, Texas, has received a $5 million gift from the Moody Foundation toward efforts to build a permanent home for the organization. The goal is $13 million for the facility and an endowment.

Hahn benefit planned
The Trinity Bat Company and Los Angeles' Mater Dei High School are partnering on a Home Run Challenge fundraiser this Saturday. The event is being held to benefit former Mater Dei player Cory Hahn, an Arizona State player who was paralyzed in a collision at second base during his freshman season.
