COVID brings Buccaneers athletics to standstill
Charleston Southern's three-game series against Ball State in Mount Pleasant this weekend has been canceled because of COVID-19 related issues in the athletics department. All CSU athletic events through March 1 (Monday) have been canceled

Limestone adjusts weekend schedule
Because of forecasts of inclement weather, Limestone has revised the schedule for its home series with King. The teams will play a doubleheader on Thurday. The original schedule called for doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday.

Benedict still in waiting mode
With Morris playing its first games of the season on Wednesday, Voorhees and Benedict are the only state teams who have yet to begin their seasons. Voorhees has had several games washed out, but hopes to play host to Savannah State this weekend. Because of SIAC and school restrictions instituted because of COVID-19, Benedict will be limited to eight conference doubleheaders and isn't supposed to play until March 12.

Coastal Carolina has tournaments the next two weekends
Coastal Carolina's Springs Brooks Stadium has been a popular early season destination for snowbirds and other baseball teams  hoping for a little friendlier weather. The Chanticleers have hosted several early  round-robin tournaments for several years, and have two more scheduled over the next two weekends. The CCU Baseball Tournament is set for this Friday through Sunday, with the Baseball at the Beach Tournament scheduled a week hence.
