Columbia: ODU sends USC into elimination game

Old Dominion the go-ahead run on a bases-loaded walk in the eighth inning to beat South Carolina, 2-1, in the NCAA Columbia Regional.

The Gamecocks (34-22) play Virginia at noon Sunday in an elimination game. The winner of that game plays ODU Sunday night. The Monarchs need one win to claim the regional title. The USC/Virginia winner would need to beat ODU twice.

Nashville: Blue Hose eliminated

Indiana State jumped to an early lead and eliminated Presbyterian, 9-2, in the Nashville Regional. The Blue Hose finished the season 22-23.
