A few thoughts

* Any of the top five or six teams in NCAA Division I could make a good case for being No. 1. I decided Coastal's head-to-head win over Clemson and the Tigers' struggles at Pitt were good reasons to move the Chanticleers to the top.
* North Greenville continues to distinguish itself from the other NCAA Division II schools.
* Spartanburg Methodist has won nine straight, but I still think the body of work by Florence-Darlington Tech and USC Sumter - for now - have made them worthy of staying 1-2 among junior college teams.
