Florence-Darlington Tech has developed into one of the top teams in NJCAA Region 10 and a program quite often ranked nationally. After starting this year 4-3, coach Preston McDonald's Stingers have kicked things into a higher gear, racking up seven straight wins.
Their four wins - all tight games - in a round-robin event at Dailey Field this weekend included two over Harford, which has been one of the top teams in Maryland in recent seasons. Harford denied FD Tech its third trip to the NJCAA World Series last May with a pair of wins in the Eastern District Tournament.
