* Anderson: Carlos Hernandez (.313) finished the season on a seven-game hitting streak and reached base safely in the last 11 games .... Brayden Owens (.321) ended the year on a six-game hitting streak and Braeden Harrison (.273) reached safely in his final nine games.

* Benedict: The Tigers' season ended with Saturday's split at Kentucky State. They finished with 190 stolen bases in 34 games, second among NCAA Division II teams to Spring Hill's 230 in 49 games. Benedict does lead division II with 5.59 steals per game.  Since Selwyn Young became coach the Tigers have led Division II in stolen bases and steals per game nine times ...  Individually,  Jamel Mitchell Jr. led the way with 36, followed by Isaiah Canty with 28 .... Justin Murray finished the season with a .418 average ... Canty had four of Benedict's eight triples.

* Bob Jones: Cancellations played a major role in the Bruins being unable to improve their wins total in the program's third season.  Eleven games were wiped out, leaving BJU with 29 games played and a 4-25 record. The 2022 team was 10-31 in 41 games, while the initial team in 2022 was 8-26 in 34 games ... Conley Burk went 10-for-21 with eight RBI over his final seven games to raise his batting average to .318.

* Charleston Southern coach Mark MacMillan hasn't been shy about playing mix-and-match with his lineup. Sixteen players have started 11 or more times through the first 40 games ... Buccaneers pitchers have struck out 353 in 342.1 innings.

* Claflin: Kyle Hawkins pitched the Panthers' three complete games ... Opponents outscored Claflin 561-118 in 41 games ... Panthers pitched walked 345 while striking out 161, while opponents walked 140 and struck out .351 ... Opponents hit .397 against Claflin ...

* Clemson: Monday's ACC pitcher of the week award for Caden Grice was the first of his career. He has been played player of the week three times. In Saturday's win at Boston College Grice pitched a career-high eight innings, the longest outing for a Tigers pitcher since March 27, 2021. He struck out a career-best nine. Grice is batting .312 with 11 homers and 44 RBI. On the mound he is 4-1 with a 3.50 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 43.2 innings  ... Cooper Ingle has a 16-game hitting streak ... Cam Cannarella had a seven-game hitting streak snapped in the series finale at Boston College, but still leads the team with a .388 batting average ... Will Taylor had a seven-game hitting streak snapped in Game 2 at BC, when the Tigers were held to a season-low two hits ... Austin Gordon pitched a career-high 6.2 innings on Friday ...

* Coastal Carolina: Going into Monday, the Chanticleers' schedule played so far is toughest in the nation according to NCAA rankings ...  Coastal's 3-2 11-inning win in the series finale at Louisiana moved the Chants to 3-0 in extra innings this season, all on Sundays ... Coastal batters have been hit by pitches 97 times in 42 games ... Payton Eeles' 26 stolen bases represent 45.6 percent of the Chanticleers' 57 steals this season ... 

* College of Charleston: Cole Mathis is 10-for-24 (.417) with a homer and 10 RBI during a five-game hitting streak. He is batting .325, just ahead of J.T. Marr's .324 for the team lead ... William Privette had allowed 5 runs (4 earned) in 33 innings covering 17 appearances before giving up four earned runs in the ninth inning against Elon on Saturday.

* Columbia International: Rafael Gonzales has hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games, raising his batting average to .341 ... The Rams went 8-2 to finish the regular season.

 

* Erskine: The Flying Fleet have a .319 team batting average and are getting 11.2 hits per game ... Ashby Smith has driven in 63 runs in 46 games ... Dale Francis Jr. has a .795 slugging percentage ... Reliever Johnny Hummel has struck out at least one batter in 21 of 22 appearances, including the last 20 ...

* Florence-Darlington Tech: Stingers batters have almost as many walks (251) as strikeouts (262) ... Top three starters Spenser Hamblen (11-0), Austin Windham (9-1) and Garrick Murray (5-1) are a combined 25-2 ...  Tech is hitting .343 as a team and 12 players with 50 or more at-bats are hitting .313 or better ...

* Francis Marion: Will Hardee has 17 of the Patriots' 71 doubles, 3 of their 6 triples and 7 of their 17 home runs. He has walked 26 times and struck out 16.

* Lander: The Bearcats hit .323 and scored 61 runs during their recent seven-game hitting streak ... Oliver Zohn has an eight-game hitting streak, going 15-for-42 (.357) to raise his batting average to .352. 

* Limestone: Marty Neal finished with 69 strikeouts in 48.2 innings, getting five of the Saints' 19 wins ... Peter Adams hit safely in 14 of his last 15 games.

* Morris: Bravion Rose went 5-for-6 with a double and a stolen base last week.

* Newberry: Braylin Marine (38) is tied for fourth and Donovan Ford (37) is tied for eighth in the latest NCAA Division II stolen bases standings. The Wolves are fifth as a team with 144 ... Bennett Roemer bounced back from allowing Lenoir-Rhyne five earned runs in 3.2 innings in his final regular-season start April 22 to give the Bears one run in nine inning in the SAC Tournament a week later.

* North Greenville: Forty-three of the Crusaders' 44 wins this season have come on wining streaks of 13, 17, 6 and (currently) 7 games ... Pat Monteith has hit five of his team-leading 17 home runs during a five-game hitting streak ... David Lewis has a 14-game hitting streak,  going 18-for-52, but hit batting average has dropped to .360. Seven of his 14 homers have come during the streak  ... Jalen Vasquez had a 12-game hitting streak snapped on Friday ... Michael Rodriguez has struck out 56 in 29 innings, but gave up four of the five earned runs he has allowed this season in consecutive games ... Pitcher Reece Fields has started 15 games this season. Noah Takac is next closest with nine starts.

* Presbyterian: Brody Fahr is on a 12-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in 19 consecutive games. I was monitoring several games at once, but I believe I heard an announcer say Fahr suffered an injury in Saturday's game at USC Upstate. He left that game for a pinch-runner and  didn't play Sunday ... Joel Dragoo has 8 hits and 7 RBI in his last four games ... Duncan Howard has pitched at least five innings in all 11 starts this season ... Reliever Tanner Smith has at least one strikeout in his last 20 games.

* South Carolina: Sunday's 8-7 victory over Auburn was the 500th Southeastern Conference win since the Gamecocks joined the league in 1992 ... Dylan Brewer's hit by pitch in the seventh inning was a school-record 90th for the Gamecocks this season, breaking the previous mark of 89 by the 2010 team in 70 games ... Cole Messina was 6-for-12 with 5 RBI in the Auburn series ... Caleb Denny was 7-for-9 against the Tigers ... Nick Proctor hasn't allowed a run over 6.1 innings covering his last five appearances. He has has allowed two hits, walked none and struck out nine. 

* Southern Wesleyan: Cam Mitchem hit 10 of the Warriors' 24 homers ... Chance Fogel had four of the team's six triples ... A six-game hitting streak to end the season got Travis Hammond's batting average to .301 ... Opponents hit .340 against SWU pitching.

* Spartanburg Methodist: Dariyan Pendergrass has been successful on all 36 stolen base attempts ... Rhogue Wallace leads SMC with 10 homers and 50 RBI.

* The Citadel: Travis Lott went 5-for-11 last week, raising his batting average to .356 ... Noah Mitchell has a four-game hitting streak ... Sawyer Reeves set career highs with four hits and four RBI against Charleston Southern last week ... The 3.2-inning start for Cameron Reeves at N.C. State ended a streak of eight starts where he had gone at least five innings.

* USC Aiken: Jackson Hannon has a seven-game hitting streak (13-for-29), improving his batting average to .332 ... Josh Sharp has four of USCA's six triples ... Justin Byrd is 7-for-18 during a four-game hitting streak. That seventh hit produced a walk-off win in Sunday's game with Lander and moved him ahead of Hannon for the team RBI lead, 39-38. 

* USC Beaufort: The Sand Sharks' last win of the season was March 24. They finished losing 16 straight, 19 of 20 and 22 of 24 after a 10-10 start ... Junior Brian Meyer hit .342 after going .362 and .346 over his first two seasons. He has a .349 career mark.

* USC Lancaster: Roman Edwards' win against USC Union April 23 snapped a streak of five starts without a win.

* USC Salkehatchie: The Indians went 0-5 against Florence-Darlington Tech, its first-round opponents in the Region 10 Tournament on Friday, and were outscored 56-3 ... Salkehatchie has been shut out 11 times in 45 games ...

* USC Sumter: Jarian Pinckney is hitting  .500 (13-for-26) with eight RBI in his last seven games ... Capers Molinaroli is 8-for-15 with eight RBI during a five-game hitting streak.

* USC Union: Jak Everett was 4-for-11 in the final regular-season series against USC Lancaster.

* Voorhees: Isaiah Palmer went 7-for-16 during a season-ending five-game hitting streak.

* Winthrop: McKinley Erves has raised his batting average to .327 during a six-game hitting streak. He is 10-for-25 (.400) in that span ... Nicholas Badillo went 2-for-4 against Charlotte last week, raising his batting average to .346 ... Brody Hopkins is on a five-game hitting streak.

* Wofford has had 10 or more hits in 24 of 43 game2s this season. Ryan Galanie is batting .436 and is 12-for-24 during a six-game hitting streak. He has three of his team-leading 14 homers and 11 of his 59 RBI in that stretch. He has safely in 11 of his last 12 games, going 26-for-52 ... Cameron Gill has had two hits in eight of his last 11 games ... Dixon Black was 7-for-16 in four games last week ... Matthew Marchal matched his season high with seven strikeouts against High Point ... Mike Eggert had career highs in innings pitched (5) and strikeouts (7) against UNC Asheville.
