Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament

Columbia International 3, Point 2 - James Lovera's RBI single  in the ninth inning gave the Rams a walk-off win and sent them into the double-elimination portion of the tournament. CIU plays second seed Reinhardt at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Kingsport, Tenn.

The Rams 1-0 trailed until Rafael Gonzales and Joshua Hernandez had RBI singles in the eighth. Point tied the score in the ninth. Lovera's game-winner came after a single, a fielder's choice and a walk.

CIU starter Justin Parish pitched seven strong innings. allowing five hits and walking two while striking out five.
