Greer native and former College of Charleston pitcher and coach Scott Foxhall was fired as pitching coach at Mississippi State earlier this week.

NJCAA Region 20 tournament set

Harford is the top seed for the NJCAA Region 20 tournament beginning Friday at Potomac State College in Keyser, W. Va.  Because Monroe College is the only Division I team in Region 15 this season, it will compete in the Region 20 Tournament as the second seed.  No. 3 Potomac State and NO. 4 Hagerstown round out the field.

Two teams from the tournament will join two from Region 10 in the East District Tournament later this month. Region 10 regular season champion Florence-Darlington Tech will be one of the Region 10 teams. The second will be the tournament champion, or runner-up if FD Tech wins the tournament, too.

The Region 10 tournament begins Friday at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.
