Coastal Carolina (4-0 for the week)

(beat North Carolina; went 3-0 vs. Marshall)

All Coastal Carolina did this week was beat North Carolina in midweek, then wrap up the regular-season championship in the Sun Belt Conference with a sweep of Marshall.

The Chanticleers entered the weekend tied for first place with Southern Mississippi, but a perfect record against Marshall gave Coastal sole possession of first when Southern Miss stumbled once against Louisiana.

Coach Gary Gilmore's team won all 10 conference series this season and has a streak of 16 consecutive conference series wins dating to midseason 2022.

Coastal has won its last seven games and has played itself into the top 8 national seed picture.
