* South Carolina 19, Central Connecticut State 1 - The Gamecocks used their best offensive outing in several weeks to advance to a Saturday game with N.C. State. Will McGillis and Ethan Petry homered for USC (40-19). N.C. State beat Campbell, 5-1.

* Rider 11, Coastal Carolina 10, 10 innings - The Broncos scored two runs in the 10th and got a game-saving catch with the bases loaded to end the game and upend the top-seeded Chanticleers (39-20). Coastal plays UNCW in an elimination game on Saturday. Rider meets Duke, which beat UNCW, 12-3. Chanticleers starter Liam Doyle struck out nine in six no-hit innings, but Rider scored nine in the seventh.
