Tigers put Mazur on payroll

Clemson on Monday announced Griffin Mazur would fill the position of third paid assistant coach. In January, the NCAA approved a third paid assistant position for Division I baseball programs. Mazur was a volunteer assistant for the Tigers this season.

Gamecocks hire Campbell

South Carolina on Saturday announced the hiring of Joey Holcomb from Campbell to be the program's third paid assistant coach. In January, the NCAA approved a third paid assistant position for Division I baseball programs.

Morlando picks Gamecocks

Summerville High rising senior P.J. Morlando Tweeted Tuesday night that he has committed to play for South Carolina. The lefty-hitting first baseman-outfielder is ranked the No. 3 high school player in the country by Perfect Game USA. He has earned several all-American honors and will compete in the High School All-American Game. He also will attempt to qualify for the MLB home run derby as part of the MLB All-Star festivities later this month.
