The Tigers scored nine runs over their final four at-bats to rally past Harris-Stowe in Denmark.

Kawan Ellerbe-James had three hits, scored twice and drove in two runs for coach Norman O'Neal's. Tigers. Shay Shay Barbosa added three hits and a RBI, while Jalen Collier's sacrifice fly capped a three-run fifth and gave Voorhees a 6-5 lead.

Pedro Rios stole two bases and scored two runs for the Tigers. Voorhees lost to Edward Waters, 9-3, later in the day. A Saturday doubleheader with Harris-Stowe caps the weekend.

Rom Kellis hit a two-run homer in the first inning, but the Stingers needed a wild pitch and an RBI groundout by Patrick Evans in the sixth inning to rally a victory in the first round of the John Tindall Classic in Palatka, Fla.

Kellis added a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Bryce Coulter and Zane Davis combined for four innings of shutout relief for FD Tech, which committed five errors in losing to East Georgia later in the day.

The Stingers play Miami Dade at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Elsewhere:  J.C. Legrand had three hits, stole a base and drove in three runs in the opener and Ben Smith pitched a two-hit shutout in Game 2 as Anderson completed a sweep of King ... Reece Fields struck out nine and allowed two hits in six innings as North Greenville won its home opener ... Dale Francis Jr. doubled twice and homered and Erskine pitchers struck out 15 ... Chas DeBruhl allowed one run over six innings and a six-run sixth put Francis Marion in charge in a series-opening win ... Tampa scored three runs in the first inning against Newberry and won a meeting of ranked NCAA Division II teams ... Mid-Atlantic Christian wiped out a six-run deficit to spoil Bob Jones' season opener. A two-run homer in the ninth inning accounted for the Bruins' final two runs ... Claflin was held hitless after Kobe Miller's first-inning double and Carolina University took charge with a five-run sixth ... Emmanuel scored the game's final 10 runs to spoil Limestone's home opener ... Lincoln Memorial won the series opener and handed Lander its first loss ... Lenoir-Rhyne scored the game's first four runs and held on to take the opener over Southern Wesleyan ... West Florida scored in the first inning of both games of a sweep of winless USC Aiken ... Keiser had big first innings in both games to keep Columbia International winless ...
