Briefly: Alden Mathes homered twice and six Clemson pitchers combined to strike out 11 and pitch a three-hitter in the No. 4 Tigers' run-rule victory over Presbyterian at Fluor Field in Greenville. It was PC's sixth straight loss ... Landon Sexton pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight in five innings as Spartanburg Methodist pushed is winning streak to 10 by beating Cleveland CC ... Claflin scored five runs in the first inning, but Voorhees rallied to hand the the Panthers their 23rd consecutive loss. Isaiah Palmer had three hits and drove in three runs for the Tigers, who snapped a six-game losing streak ... Jarian Pinckney and Caleb Warren drove in three runs apiece as USC Sumter overpowered the Francis Marion JV ... Kris Levensteins had three hits, including a homer in his final at-bat, to pace USC Union over the Montreat JV in Game 1 of a doubleheader split ... After falling victim to an eight-run fourth inning by Carolina University in a Game 1 loss, Columbia International scored seven runs in the first of the nightcap for a split.
