Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, May 20-26: Wofford

Wofford (6-1 for the week)
(went 6-1 at SoCon Tournament)

First-year coach J.J. Edwards' Terriers made a solid run back through the losers' bracket to win Southern Conference Tournament and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Terriers won their first three game in the event before getting hammered by Samford on Saturday. They bounced back later in the day to beat eliminate East Tennessee State, the collected 32 hits in beating Samford twice on Sunday.

It will be Wofford's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since its inaugural visit in 2007. The team will learn its destination Monday in a noon program on ESPN2.
