A look at where state NCAA Division I teams are in their conference standings after Friday's action.

*  ACC: Clemson remained 2 1/2 games ahead of Florida State in the Atlantic Division after both teams lost. N.C. State moved into a second-place tie with the Seminoles by beating Virginia. Clemson dropped a game behind Coastal Division leader North Carolina in the race for the top overall seed.

* Big South: Presbyterian, playing a nonconference series with The Citadel, has a half-game lead over USC Upstate after the Spartans beat Longwood. High Point fell a game back after losing to Winthrop. Charleston Southern has a one-game lead over UNC Asheville for the final tournament spot. Winthrop took sole possession of eighth, but will not qualify for the conference tournament.

* Southeastern: South Carolina fell two games behind Georgia in the East Division and remained two games ahead of Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks are in fourth place in the division and in seventh place overall. Leader Kentucky has a one-game edge over Tennessee in the East and  Arkansas has a two-game cushion on Texas A&M in the West.

* Southern: Wofford is in fourth place, but moved within a game of third-place East Tennessee State. The Terriers trail leader Samford by 3 1/2 games and second-place UNCG by two games. The Citadel is assured of eighth place.

* Sun Belt: First-place Louisiana has a three-game lead over Southern Miss and Troy and pushed Georgia Southern four games back by winning the series opener. Coastal Carolina and Georgia State, who had their game suspended until Saturday because of rain, are tied for ninth at 11-13, a game behind South Alabama and Old Dominion and a half-game ahead of Texas State.
