Charleston Southern University on Monday said it will replace Marc MacMillan as head coach after four seasons.

"We are grateful to coach  MacMillan for his hard work and tireless efforts with our baseball program and wish him and his family the very best," said Jeff Barber, the school's vice president for intercollegiate athletics.

The Buccaneers finished 22-32 in 2024, but went 12-12 in the Big South Conference to finish in fourth place and qualify for the conference tournament. CSU went to the conference tournament two of his final three seasons. His overall record was 86-116.

Assistant coach Karl Kuhn will serve as interim head coach.

Perhaps in anticipation of a move, several CSU players ended the transfer portal on Monday.

Charleston Southern is at least the sixth in-state school making a coaching change after the season.
