D1Baseball reports former USC coaches find jobs

Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball reports three former University of South Carolina coaches will be back in the dugout at other locations in 2025.

Rogers said former head coach Mark Kingston is expected to be hired as associate head coach at Creighton. Kingston was fired earlier this month after seven seasons.

Rogers also reported Coastal Carolina is hiring Matt Williams as its pitching coach. Williams was pitching coach at under Kingston last season. Previous stops included Liberty, UNCW and Spartanburg Methodist.  As a player, the Lancaster native helped Spartanburg Methodist to a berth in the NJCAA World Series.

Rogers also reported Joey Holcomb, who coached outfielders at USC in 2024, is expected to join the staff of new coach Mitch Hannahs at South Florida.
