Coastal to play in Jacksonville event
Coastal Carolina will participate in the Jax College Baseball Classic Feb. 21-23 in Jacksonville, Fla. The Chanticleers of first-year coach Kevin Schnall will be joined by Alabama, N.C. State and Ohio State.
The teams will play each of the other three games once on the second weekend for the season for NCAA Division I teams. Games will be played at 121 Ballpark, home of the Southern League's Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
Coastal is the second state team to commit to a tournament in 2025. Clemson will compete in then Shriners Children's College Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, from Feb. 14-16. Arkansas, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Texas are the other teams.
