Erskine hires pitching coach

Scotty Bateman posted on X that he has been hired as pitching coach at Erskine. Bateman comes to Due West from Florida State College of Jacksonville. Bateman. who previously served as director of player personnel and analytics at Troy, founded, played and coached on the club baseball team at Mississippi State.

Gernon joins Upstate staff

Former USC Upstate standout Daniel Gernon has joined the staff at his alma mater as director of player development. Gernon, who hit .292 with 14 homers during his two-year career under Mike McGuire, joins the staff of first-year coach Kane Sweeney.
