(beat Winthrop, went 3-0 against South Carolina)

In a week full of dandy performances (seven state teams went unbeaten), Clemson was a cut above.

The Tigers racked up 20 runs in a midweek win over Winthrop, then got dominant pitching and clutch hitting in the late innings in a series sweep of South Carolina.

Clemson (10-1) pushed its winning streak to eight since a blowout loss to Ole Miss on opening weekend.

Up next: USC Upstate, at Fluor Field in  Greenville, Tuesday.
