* Briefly:  Nate Savoie homered twice to account for all of Clemson's scoring as the Tigers (17-4) held off College of Charleston (9-11) in front of  record Patriots' Point crowd of 1,680. Freshman Dylan Harrison allowed three hits and a run in four innings ...  Alan Benhardt had three hits, including a triple to drive in Corey Wouters with the go-ahead run in the eighth, as Winthrop (15-6) pulled away from Pacific (8-12) to open a four-game California road swing. Mason Tompkins pitched 5 innings of shutout relief to get the win. The Eagles iced the game with five runs in the ninth ... Hunter Herndon had two hits and drove in five runs as Wofford (14-8) handled Presbyterian (4-18) in Clinton ... Alex Marot had two doubles among his three hits and drove in three runs as Charleston Southern (14-6) wiped out an early three-run deficit to beat North Florida (10-12) ... North Greenville (21-6) scored six runs in the second inning and Lane McGaha added a grand slam in the fifth for a nonconference road win over Lander (16-11) ... Cole Savage singled twice and hit a three-run homer and nine Erskine (12-17) pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts to hand USC Beaufort (4-21) its 12th straight loss ... Myles Denton had three hits and three teammate added two apiece as Anderson (16-11) survived a late rally by Southern Wesleyan (9-19) ... Kolby Branch's second home run of the day - a three-run blast in the ninth inning - capped No. 7 Georgia's (18-4) comeback from five runs down for a walk-off win over The Citadel (8-10). The visitors took a five-run lead into the bottom of the seventh, but Georgia scored two runs in the seventh - the first on Branch's first shot - and three in the eighth before Branch's deciding bomb to left field ...South Carolina (12-10) pitchers walked 11, hit two batters and threw two wild pitches while the defense was committing five errors as Charlotte (14-6) handed the Gamecocks their fifth straight loss this season and fourth straight in the series. A dropped popup on a potential third out of the fifth inning opened the door for six unearned runs in the seven-run inning. Former River Bluff High player Tyler Hudson capped the uprising with a grand slam. The 49ers scored eight unearned runs ... Wingate (22-5) parlayed 15 hits, 11 walks and three Francis Marion (21-6) errors into a lopsided comeback win in a meeting of nationally ranked Division II teams. Jake Courville and Gavin Groppuso drove in five runs apiece for the Bulldogs. The Patriots held a 7-4 lead after 5 1/2 innings.
