This is the second in a series of Q&A posts with coaches from each state college program regarding their team's prospects for 2010.
PSB: What is the outlook for your team this season?
KN: We have high expectations with 7 returning starters (67 homers returning with the addition of three JC guys that should all hit 10 plus dingers). We also return all of our pitchers except one.
PSB: Based on what you saw in fall workouts, which newcomers seem most ready to contribute from the start of the season?
KN: Casey Wincowski JR. SS Casey should have a big year. He led us in hitting this Fall and is an outstanding defender.
PSB: Based on what you saw in fall workouts, what area of your
team is of the most concern entering the season.
KN: Our biggest concern this year and every year will be staying healthy. Because of our scholarship limitations, depth is always a concern, especially on the mound.
PSB: Which returnees from 2009 do you think fans will see the most improvement in for 2010.
KN: With the experience that we have on this team with guys like SR. Bryan Fogle (All-American), SR. Chas Anthony (All-American), SR. Gregg Huff, JR. Jon Bolding, and SR. Mo Seay we don't need for these guys to improve from a numbers standpoint. We just want them to keep putting up the numbers
that they have done for the past two or three years and we fully expect all of them to do so.
Coming Tuesday: Southern Wesleyan
